NOVOLEN TECHNOLOGY
The Novolen technology
licensed by ABB Lummus, is used by TASNEE in order to produce POLYPROPYLENE. The Novolen technology is a flexible process used for the production of diverse polypropylene homopolymers with different consistencies and melt flow rates (MFR) for a wide range of applications.
The advantages of the Novolen technologie:
- Complete Product range with one catalyst
- Same stereo-modifier for the complete product range
- No pre-polymerization required
- Heat removal by monomer evaporation
- Low residence time
- Fast MFR change
- Easy re-start after shut down; powder remains in the reactor
- Desorber unit for grades with low volatiles content

The start-up new HD/LD polyethylene cracker of TASNEE from early 2009, is operating under full load. From now on we can increase the production volume monthly.

In the year 2009, TASNEE set with a large investment in the chemical business, an Acrylic Monomer Plant with DOW. Meanwhile TASNEE is the world 2nd largest producer of Titanium Dioxide.
