HISTORY
As the first privately held company
in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Joint Stock Company was established in the year 1985, investing in downstream industry. Later the entire company was given the official name 'TASNEE'. The aim was to create a corporate identity.
- In the year 1995, TASNEE's new management decided to invest in the petrochemical business.
- In the year 2000, TASNEE set a Petrochemicals Complex in Jubail (PDH and PP plants) to produce PP resins.
- In the year 2006, TASNEE established a second Petrochemical project to produce polyethylene resins, completely back integrated.
- In the year 2009, TASNEE set an Acrylic Monomer Plant in Jubail, Saudi-Arabia, together with Rohm & Haas.

The start-up new HD/LD polyethylene cracker of TASNEE from early 2009, is operating under full load. From now on we can increase the production volume monthly.

In the year 2009, TASNEE set with a large investment in the chemical business, an Acrylic Monomer Plant with DOW. Meanwhile TASNEE is the world 2nd largest producer of Titanium Dioxide.
